Ever thought how you would like a new four berth dog float? Well maybe coursing might just help you out in this department. The Executive of the NCAV are currently putting the final touches to a competition for all greyhounss that compete at any of the 8 coursing meetings being conducted this year.
Stay on line for further updates as we document that competition and condiitons of entry.
It is a must that we put our best paws forward this year and obtain significant increases in our nominations. Yes, there were extenuating circumstances why our nominations dropped in the 2010 coursing season. The circumstances were not our our doing and we totally out of our control. ie. Tier 3 racing and the ending of a 10 year drought.
Coursing needs to find a way to increase nominations and keep them. The reality is that coursing does nto generate an income from wagering as our track racing cousins do. Therefore, we need to more creative and courageous to develop ways for coursing to stay a part of the Victorian Greyhound Racing Scene.
If each one of us 'coursing enthusiasts' sold coursing to one trainer per year, we would double our support in one year. that's not too hard, there must be trainers out there who don't even know coursing exists as a viable alternative or more importantly a training tool to "sharpen up" our racing greyhounds.
Coursings continuance is up to YOU!
