2010 COURSING POINTS

After the completion of the 2010 Coursing season it is now time to release the coursing awards for the year.  The season has not been our easiest but with thanks to our many supporters we have been able to conduct a solid season.

Below are the final results for the season.

2010 COURSING GREYHOUND OF THE YEAR - ARCTIC IRON 54 POINTS

Pcitured left is the great Arctic Iron who started his season off with a maiden win at Healesville.  Arctic Iron amassed a whopping  53 points for the season.  He was only beaten once and that was in the semi final of the Waterloo Cup by eventual winner Sparrow Baz.

Arctic Iron is a black dog whelped September 2007 - Bond X Midnight Drama.  He is owned by the Whitford Syndicate and is trained by Graham Whitford.

BITCH OF THE YEAR -
SANTOSA'S ROSE -
27 POINTS

This is the last course of Santosa's Rose coursing journey the final of the
Roy Symes Memorial - Challenge Cup.

She's shown here in the white collar with String in the red collar, with about 100 metres to the winning post.

Santosa's Rose is a black bitch whelped February 2007 - November Fury X Santosa Lady. owner by the Champagne Syndicate and trained by Nicole Stanley.




2010 COURSING TRAINER OF THE YEAR - NICOLE STANLEY - 35 POINTS
Nicole hails from way down the West of the State.  Actually the birthplace of Victoria - Portland.
Nicole is one of our regular particpants and this year she brought along her other half.  I won't mention his name, he knows who he is and because we're such a happy and friendly lot, I say with a fair amount of certainty he'll be along to a couple of meetings in the 2011 season.


2010 COURSING OWNER OF THE YEAR - WHITFORD SYNDICATE - 30 POINTS

The Whitford Syndicate of Graham & Bianca Whitford had great success this year.  With a small team of greyhounds they managed to attain 30 points. 

Their greyhounds included the mighty Arctic Iron, Little Master, Sky Liner, Jetenz and Elite Master.

This is the meeting that started their great season.  Healesville 23.05.2010.
