Waterloo Cup for 2011 was conducted at Lang Lang weekend of 17 & 18 September. Although the weather was a bit warm for coursing a great two days was had by all who attended.
Cruise Away Lass for Graham Campbell was the last greyhound standing. Smiles all round, left to right front, Peter Calliard GRV Board Chairman, Vi Lally and Graham Campbell. Back Tony Mills NCAV President, & Heather Villinger NCAV Secretary/Treasurer.
Kids let off steam in the relay. batons in hand off they go. From the biggest to the littlest. The best game was scarecrow chasy. Can't remember that one in the 50's. All the kids from the smallest to the biggest had a great time.
The first ever Junior handlers event. Left to right Pierce places the Peter Grills trained She All Rumor in slips (chite Collar) and Jamie places Merindah Kahn trained by Aileen TOugher into slips off the red collar. SLipper Ritchie Adderley. Whilst Pierce had done this before, young Jamie had not attended a coursing meeting previously. Sale patrons will know Jamie who catches greyhounds. Jamie's charge for the day jsut kept on winning her coursed and took out the final. Jamie won an i-pod (some techno gadget thingy). This is jsut another initative that coursing is and an deliver to the greyhound industry. In all we had 5 junior handlers in this event.
